Readability

Basically all I remember is I had an old map of Mackinac Island which I had won on eBay and was reading the different locations all over it. I had been reading them for a while before I suddenly realized I could read them--I'd been afraid that they might be illegible due to the map's small size--and this relieved me. I was looking at the map in closeup so I could not see the entire thing at once, and it seemed to be on newsprint; the lighting was bad as it was rather dark but I could still see it.

(The map is one I did win in real life, and I really have been worried that the print might be too small to read. I bought the map because it's similar to one owned by somebody who I've been waiting to get back to me for this very reason--I could not read her scan of the map, and so was hoping she would transcribe it for me, but she hasn't gotten back to me about that yet. The real map is a page from a magazine from 1939, and IS legible.)
